Psychic Terms 
Understanding psychic, metaphysical or new age terms is easy. Let's take a look at some of the often misunderstood psychic words:
Lesson: This is your personality's ability to learn from hard times. This wisdom will improve your life skills at a soul level. For example, if you've ever been involved with a cheating boyfriend or unfaithful wife, you've probably asked yourself, "Why did this happen?" The answer is different for everyone, but there's always a lesson buried in your hurt and disappointment. When you learn this lesson, you don't ever have to repeat it again. Your soul "gets it," your lesson is learned and you move on to a new lesson.
GHOST:That part of the human personality which has not yet separated from the soul. When the body dies, the personality can become stuck to the soul, causing sensations and events that indicate the person is not yet gone. Ghosts may be found around you when they have unfinished business, or messages or when during our grief, we cannot let their memory go back to God. During a Mediumship Reading I am communicating with the personality/soul combination. A ghost tends to remain in familiar surroundings until its message can be delivered. Sometimes a ghost does not even know its body has passed and still thinks of itself as alive. When this happens the "ghost" can become confused, angry and cause poltergeist-type activities.
GOD:The collective consciousness. The totality of all that is. We are God and God is us. Think of the planet earth. It is made up of oceans, mountains, animals, people, fishes, air, fire and every single thing you can think of. The earth is all of these things and all of these things make up the earth. Or, as you may have often heard, God is the ocean and we are each a drop of water in that ocean.

PSYCHICS: Those people who "know" things without using their normal five senses of taste, vision, hearing, touching and tasting. It's strange though, because often the skills of a psychic come through one of these senses, but in non-tradtional ways.
Clairvoyants - meaning clear seeing. A psychic who uses their psychic sense of seeing things.
Clairaudience - The psychic ability to hear what others cannot.
Psychometry - Is the psychic use of touch. A psychic can hold a personal item in their hands and give you information about the owner of that item.
Clairsentience - is that "clear feeling" or gut feeling or sensations which offers up a warning.
Clairsentient - Spelled almost the same as clairsentience, the next type of psychic skill is the ability to psychically smell something that others cannot smell.
Clairgustance - Is the ability of the psychic to recognize certain tastes during a reading.
